Terms & Conditions

1) Rates

  • Standard Day Rate (10+1 hours): £536 (based on APA 2025 guidelines)

  • Hourly Rate: £54/hour

  • Overtime:

    • 1.5x hourly rate (£81/hr) after standard working hours

    • 2x hourly rate (£108/hr) for late hours, Sundays, or excessive overtime

  • All rates are based on APA Recommended Crew Terms (2025)

2) Working Hours & Overtime

  • A standard working day consists of 11 hours (10+1) in line with APA terms

  • Overtime applies beyond the agreed working day

  • Overtime will be charged in accordance with APA guidelines:

    • Minimum 1.5x basic hourly rate

    • Higher rates may apply depending on duration and conditions

3) Night Shoots

  • Night shoots are charged at Day Rate + 25%

  • A night shoot applies where call time falls between 17:00 (5pm) and 05:00 (5am)

  • If wrap occurs at 22:00 (10pm) or earlier, the night premium does not apply

4) Travel & Mileage

  • All parking fees must be reimbursed by production

  • Travel outside the M25 or between locations will be charged at:

    • £0.60 per mile

  • Alternative transport (train, taxi, etc.) must be reimbursed at cost

  • Travel time may be chargeable depending on distance and call time
     

5) Kit & Equipment

  • Personal kit hire may be charged where applicable (rate to be agreed prior to booking)

  • Production is responsible for insurance and safe handling of all equipment

  • Loss or damage to personal kit must be reimbursed at full replacement value

6) Payment Terms

  • Invoice issued weekly or upon completion of work

  • Payment terms: 14–30 days from invoice date

  • Late payments may incur statutory interest in line with UK law

7) Cancellations

  • Cancellation within 48 hours of call time: 50% of agreed rate

  • Cancellation within 24 hours: 100% of agreed rate

  • Postponements and weather days subject to negotiation

8) Turnaround

  • A minimum 10–11 hour turnaround is required between wrap and next call time

  • Failure to meet turnaround may incur additional charges in line with APA guidance

9) Meals & Breaks

  • Production must provide meals at reasonable intervals (approx. every 6 hours)

  • Delayed or missed meals may incur penalties in line with standard industry practice

10) Health & Safety

  • Production must ensure safe working conditions at all times

  • The 1st AC reserves the right to refuse unsafe work without penalty

11) Travel & Accommodation (Distant Locations)

  • Accommodation must be provided where:

    • Early call times or late wraps make travel unreasonable

    • Locations are outside a practical commuting distance

  • Per diem may be required depending on location

12) Agreement

  • Confirmation of booking via email, message, or contract constitutes acceptance of these terms
